Learning Corel Painter X

...with Jeremy Sutton

Corel how-to video: Learning Corel Painter X by Jeremy Sutton 5_bulb Review this video!

This DVD is a thorough introduction to Corel Painter X, providing an overview of the interface, highlighting major new features, and including a sampling of easy to follow techniques for creating paintings and collages from your photographs. Tutorial images are included in the DVD. We recommend this for anyone new to Painter and also as a preliminary DVD before working through Jerry Sutton's more in-depth The Art of Collage Portraiture and Painter IX Simplified for Photographers DVD sets.

This video was added to our catalog on June 07, 2007 in Digital Art - 2D::Corel.

This is an excellent tutorial DVD. Jeremy Sutton clearly knows this program and offers clear direction. My favorite chapters explained how to turn a photograph into a painting using the cloning, autopainting, and underpainting features of Painter X.

This was a very well done video. I just received my new Cintiq tablet and the Painter X program and was clueless as to how to begin. Jeremy Sutton did an excellent job of introducing the many features of both the tablet, using the various brushes and the Painter X program. It contains more features than I will probably use in a lifetime (as I am not a professional graphic arts person)but will have a lot of fun learning! Now the real work begins, using all the things I learned from the video and creating my own "work of art". Thank you for a job well done!
